You guys, our new home is FINALLY COMPLETE (insert raised hands emoji here)

I truly believe that the kitchen is the heart of a home. When Brett and I were designing our house, we wanted a very open concept so we could fit both sides of the family inside, but keeping the kitchen as the main focus on the first floor. We could envision the whole family standing around the center island, some playing with the kids in the living room floor, and the rest telling stories around the dining room table. When the house was finally finished, we walked in and realized that our dream came true.
We wanted a big statement piece for the kitchen, a conversation starter and something that would benefit the whole family. Que in our farmhouse sink here. I have ALWAYS dreamed of having a farmhouse sink, and just knew that we needed this in our new house! It was seriously the first thing we got for the house, that wasn’t even built yet HA!
We absolutely love every thing about this sink- who knew you could be obsessed with your sink, hashtag adult life. I love the depth that the sink offers, the cutting board insert, the grates for the bottom of the sink so that I can keep it scratch free AND the fact that I can bathe my babies in it! Versatile, beautiful, and a place to make memories and messes- its the perfect statement piece to our kitchen.
The faucet is also a huge factor in having the right sink- I wanted something that was going to be easy to use, with the right details so I could hose down my sink, fill big pots, and flatter the sink. This faucet was the perfect match to our farmhouse.
We are so very thankful that our home is complete, that we are settling in, but more importantly, were making our house a home with all of the memories being made. Thank you Elkay for adding a few touches to our dream house!
