Oh the joys of feeding a toddler. There’s nothing more intimidating than starting to feed your little person BIG people food. We introduced puréed baby food to Cole around 6 months old after our pediatrician gave us the “o.k.” Classic sweet potatoes, applesauce, and peas. I have to admit, I wasn’t very pushy with giving Cole foods right away as he was exclusively breastfed, and I knew he was getting the nutrients he needed. It’s fun to start trying new foods with your baby, and even more entertaining watching their facial expressions with each flavor!
Now that Cole is 16 months old (if any of you know where the time escapes to, please let me know) he eats EVERYTHING. We are extremely thankful that we don’t have a picky eater, and no known allergies thus far. It’s very convenient now that he eats what we’re eating, but can be intimidating as well ensuring he’s getting the beneficial nutrients needed for his growing body. I wanted to share one of our favorite products that any mama with a toddler needs. Hint: it prevents those tiny hands from being able to throw their food on the floor 😉.
As a first time mama and blogger, I am constantly on the hunt for products that’ll make our life easier. Mommin’ is hard enough, so finding products that can help along the way is a win-win. When I first came across Avanchy’s Instagram feed I knew it was a brilliant concept. It’s earth-friendly bamboo baby dishes that have colorful suction bottoms. BAM. A bowl + plate that my child won’t toss across my kitchen floor. I’ll take 50. Now if only I could get a maid to clean the rest of my house…
